With great disappointment, the GIS In Action 2020 committee has decided that in the interest of public health we cannot and should not go forward with the April 21-22 conference at PSU. We are considering options for online and abbreviated conference activities on a later date, and we will continue to work on this. We welcome suggestions and volunteers in this effort, and we will keep you updated. In the meantime, we are refunding registration fees. Give the banks a couple of weeks to clear the refund. It typically takes 5-7 business days. Let us know after that if you have any issues with the refund.
Please understand that the GIS In Action conference is the primary funding source for Oregon-URISA and ASPRS-Cascade Region chapters, so canceling the conference will reduce our funds for other activities. If you would like to donate to these organizations, please visit their websites. Both organizations offer support for professionals in the Oregon/SW Washington region and have jointly brought you this conference for 24 years. We wish you well in this challenging time and look forward to connecting in new ways in the near future.
